A MOMENT TO REFLECT
These passages speak of children as people to welcome and care for. Read them as invitations to teach with patience, model a faithful life, and listen well. A child needs both guidance and a safe place to ask questions and grow.
READ, REFLECT, RETURN
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
