Encouraging mode draws from our selected topical passages. Whole Bible mode draws from the local KJV verse index across 66 books using your browser’s cryptographic random generator. No verse is a prediction or a substitute for reading Scripture in context.
Is the daily Bible verse random?
Our random Bible verse of the day is selected from encouraging passages using the UTC calendar date. It stays the same throughout that date, while the roll button always lets you explore another passage.
Which Bible translations can I read?
KJV, World English Bible (WEB), and American Standard Version (ASV) are available. NIV, ESV, and NLT require appropriate licensing before they can be offered here. Learn about translations.
